Take your pavé skills to the next level
If you’ve already explored cluster pavé and want to refine your control, precision and confidence, this more advanced class focuses on setting a clean, straight row of pavé stones using traditional hand-setting techniques.
Working in a straight line demands even greater accuracy in your marking out, stone spacing and tool control — making this a brilliant class for jewellers who want to develop a truly professional, fine-jewellery finish.
In this workshop, you’ll go deeper into graver work and learn how to carve your settings directly from the metal to create elegant micro claws that hold each stone securely while keeping the surface light and refined.
What you’ll learn
How to accurately mark out and space a straight row of stones
Using burrs to drill and cut precise seats
How to use three different gravers (round, flat and onglette) with confidence
Carving micro claws from the metal to hold stones in place
Controlling bead size and consistency across a row
Troubleshooting alignment, stone height and common row pavé issues
By the end of the day, you’ll have a much stronger understanding of tool control and metal manipulation — skills that translate across many advanced stone-setting techniques.
