If you are starting or running a jewellery business, capturing beautiful photographs of your jewellery is absolutely essential when selling and promoting your work online. Now we always recommend that wherever possible, you take photographs of your jewellery using a DSLR camera. You have a lot more control over the settings, your images will be a high enough resolution for every format, particularly print and the quality of the image captured will undoubtedly be better.
But we always say that the best device for taking photos is the one you have with you, and sometimes you want to take gorgeous shots of your jewellery, or works in progress quickly and easily, particularly for social media. Sometimes captured is better than perfect.
The good news, that it is entirely possible to learn how to take great photographs for your website and social media even with very basic equipment. You just need to apply a few tricks and techniques, use a select few pieces of key equipment, a few key composition techniques and some practice!

This is a great value, intensive class where you will learn to take lovely photos and videos of your jewellery which is an invaluable skill that will be used time and time again.

All students must bring their own smartphone to the class and a charger.

Remember your smartphone on the day because unfortunately don't provide smartphones
Also, don't forget to bring some jewellery along too - if not we have plenty for you to photograph!
General Info:
As with all of our classes, there will be plenty of tea, coffee and snacks! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
