Wax Carving Level 3 - Claw Setting in Wax

This brand new wax carving course has been designed to help you take your wax carving skills to a whole new level, by learning how to appropriately create a claw setting in your wax carved pieces.

This claw setting allows you to create a claw set design in wax, remove the stone for casting and then you will need to set the stone after casting into the wax.

As it is a one day course there will not be time for casting and setting the stone but you can follow up with our 1 day claw setting class to learn the process for setting claws.

As an intermediate level course, it is suggested that you've taken both Wax Carving 1 & Wax Carving 2 - Rub Over Settings to be able to get the most out of this class.

As this is a one day class the casting is not included in this class but you will be given recommendations on casting companies and what to do with your wax.

For this class, you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided.

General Info:

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and snacks! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.

We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
