Beading is such a fun and inexpensive way to start your journey into jewellery making and this one-day workshop is designed to get you inspired!
There are a few fundamentals to learn that will help ensure your creations are well made and professional so whether you've tried beading before or have no experience, this workshop is for you!
One of the things we love about beading here at Jewellers Academy Brighton is the ability to combine colours and textures to make completely individual designs. Learn to make your own designs of earrings, necklaces and bracelets. This is a great course for anyone wanting to get started with beading techniques.
In this class, you will use a wide range of beads and fittings and receive lots of tuition and support to help you get started making your own professional quality jewellery at home.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- How to use a range of beading tools and stringing materials
- How to professionally create loops and manipulate wire
- How to plan your designs and string your beads
- How to open and close jump rings and assemble your work
- How to attach clasps and finish your work to a professional standard
- How to do basic wire wrapped beads and drops
- How to make your own clasps and earwires
- How to make a variety of beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings including a tiered beaded necklace
Whether you want to make jewellery as a hobby or take it further as a home business this is a great class for everyone and covers all of the basics, so that you can continue to make beautiful and professional jewellery from home straight after the course.
All materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and snacks!
Most students make at least 5 pieces of finished jewellery to take home
No previous experience is necessary
The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
